Kick Architecture
KX1000 separates the kick into three controllable parts so you can build the foundation around your track instead of searching endlessly for a sample that almost works.
Starting Points
Starting Point chooses the kick character. Random and Discover stay inside that lane while you still keep full manual control.
| Starting Point | Character |
|---|---|
| All | Full discovery across every kick character. |
| Afrobeats | Warm, rhythmic, danceable, controlled low-end. |
| Drum & Bass | Short, fast, punchy, tight tail. |
| Dubstep | Sharp, heavy, bassline-friendly. |
| Hard Dance | Hard, bright, aggressive, high-impact. |
| Hip-Hop | Warm, weighty, body-first. |
| House | Warm, rounded, bouncy. |
| Techno | Tight, driven, controlled club pressure. |
| UK Garage | Tight, bouncy, clean, swing-friendly. |
Low-End Key
Low-End Key controls the musical root of the low-end. This is a Creator License feature.
| Key Match | How it behaves |
|---|---|
| Root | The Sub targets the selected root. |
| Root + Fifth | The Sub stays on the root. Body can use root or fifth. Transients remain attack-focused. |
| Extended | The Sub stays on the root. Body can use root/fifth. Transient may use root, third or fifth only if useful. |
Keyed and Unpitched
The verified library uses clearer labels so the file names are useful without pretending every sound has a stable key.
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| KEY_C | A stable, useful musical root is clearly present. |
| UNPITCHED | Mainly attack, click, noise, texture or no reliable musical root. |
| NO_CLEAR_KEY | Pitch is unstable or ambiguous, so it should be chosen by ear. |
Main Controls
| Control | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Master | Overall output level. |
| Drive | Saturation, density and attitude. |
| Tone | Brightness or darkness. |
| Punch | Body/chest force without adding extra click. |
| Impact | Slam and front/body authority. |
| Depth | Low-end weight and sub/body reinforcement. |
| Transient | Attack layer level. |
| Body | Body layer level. |
| Sub | Sub layer level. |
Layer Controls
Each layer can be locked, changed, soloed or randomized.
Timing
Timing controls how the kick starts, ends and sits in time.
| Control | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Offset | Moves the kick earlier or later. Leave at 0 unless you need micro-timing adjustment. |
| Length | Controls how much of the kick tail is kept. Starting Points can set a musical length automatically. |
| Fade | Applies an end fade to avoid clicks. |
Export
In the Creator License version, Download WAV exports the current kick for use in your DAW.
The generated kick name stays the same while the Transient, Body and Sub stack stays the same.

Tips
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Try this |
|---|---|
| No sound | Click Launch KX1000, then Play. Some browsers require a user click before audio starts. |
| Kick clicks at the end | Increase Fade slightly or lengthen the kick. |
| Kick feels too clicky | Lower Transient, Impact or Tone. Try Smooth. |
| Kick feels too muddy | Lower Depth or Sub, shorten Length, or choose a tighter Starting Point. |
| Low-end clashes with bass | Use Low-End Key in the Creator License version, or reduce Depth/Sub. |
| Download is locked | Download WAV is unlocked with the Creator License. |
